Getting started with StelarOS

StelarOS is a computer that runs in your browser. It has two main apps:

  • AI Chat lets you ask an AI anything. Each message uses a few credits.
  • Earn lets your computer earn more credits while it's on.

Credits

You get 20 free credits every day, enough for about 10 messages. They refill at midnight UTC. Credits you earn never expire. Credits can't be turned into money.

Earning

When Earn is on, your computer mines Monero, a cryptocurrency, and StelarOS turns that into credits. A browser can't mine much: it takes about 38 hours of earning on a typical laptop to pay for one message. Think of it as a small bonus on top of your free credits.

Earn only runs when you switch it on, and stops when you close it.

Using the desktop

  • Double-click an icon to open an app.
  • Drag a window by its title bar. Drag it to the left or right edge to fill half the screen, or to the top to fill all of it.
  • Right-click the desktop for more options.
  • Click StelarOS in the bottom-left corner for all apps, to lock the screen or to sign out.
